Norges Vel’s Whistleblowing channel

Norges Vel has zero tolerance for corruption and harassment. We therefore work actively to combat this, both within our own organisation and in our projects. 

If you suspect illegal or undesirable activities, suspected fraud, corruption, abuse of power, sexual harassment or other misconduct related to Norges Vel’s project funds or employees, this can be reported to Norges Vel.

You can choose to report anonymously

All matters that are reported will be treated confidentially. The whistleblower has the right to remain anonymous, and the identity of the whistleblower will be kept confidential. 

However, it will make our investigation and assessment of the matter easier if you provide your name and contact information.

A whistleblowing report should include the following elements 

  • Specify the category/topic the report concerns

  • Specify the organisation and/or person the report concerns 

  • State when and where the reported incident(s) took place 

  • Provide a brief description of the matter

  • Any attachments

  • Place, date and signature

How Norges Vel handles whistleblowing reports 

Reports concerning Norges Vel’s activities in Africa are received by Norges Vel’s Controller. Reports concerning other matters are received by Norges Vel’s Head of Finance and Administration, who is also responsible for the organisation’s personnel administration. 

When a report is received, a whistleblowing group will be established to handle the report. It is of importance to Norges Vel that people feel safe reporting concerns to us, and we treat all reports in strict confidence. 

You may choose to remain anonymous, but this may make it more difficult for us to handle the report. We place great emphasis on good communication with and information to the whistleblower while the report is being handled. 

Norges Vel takes all whistleblowing reports seriously, and it is safe to report concerns to us.
