Renewable energy

The Royal Norwegian Society for Development has been engaged in energy and the environment since long before climate issues were a public concern. The production of renewable energy such as water power, solar energy and bio-energy are environmentally friendly and in addition can provide extra sources of income for the agriculture sector.

We contribute to the establishment of local commercial chains for the production of renewable energy through both water power and bio-energy. This can also involve solutions for non-recyclable waste, and the organisation of these.

Did you know that…
...the Royal Norwegian Society for Development had an active role in the establishment of the Norwegian Bio-Energy Association in 1985. NoBio is now a significant actor in the Norwegian energy debate.
